Due to Covid and venues and changes, Megan and Kurt had to move their wedding UP one day! That’s pretty much the opposite of a postponement and we’re all about it.
These two first met at a college party through mutual friends and have been together for more than a DECADE. That’s amazing! Their first official date was to a Pirates game and they bought a house together four years ago. And they are pet parents to a sweet pup named Bruce. I love a dog with a human name!
Their ceremony was absolutely gorgeous outside as the sun set. Before the ceremony, we did a first look and some photos in incredible spots around town – these two were up for anything and I got to use some of my favorite photo locations and even try out new ones – thank goodness for first looks, beautiful October days, and a near-deserted downtown on a Friday due to the pandemic.
The outside ceremony and covered deck reception were so fun – these two kept their event safe and there was so much love and joy! As the sun set, we took a few sunset images and then a “blue hour” image of them dancing in a lighted gazebo and as these two danced a perfect spin and the light was just right, I thought how lucky I am sometimes to have this job and this honor of witnessing the first day of a new marriage.
Congratulations, you two! Here’s to a lifetime of happiness!
