Brandon is the younger brother of 2011 KWP Bride Ashley Q (and my very very good friend). He and Juli met at CalU seven years ago and on a hot day in August, they got married!
August 7th was the date and the 7th is an important wedding date for quite a few members of Brandon’s family. These two have been engaged since before the pandemic started and I was so glad to see their day go off without a hitch.

Juli’s dress weighed fifteen pounds, no exaggeration, and had 22 layers, but it was gorgeous. I’m loving my brides’ dresses this year – every bride is putting her own spin on it – Juli had these custom sleeves added and it gave the gown something extra. The day was very warm, almost 90 degrees, but the rain stayed away and we got to do some images in front of this old chicken coop on private property and everyone was a trooper throughout including the men who had on full tuxes in the heat! Oh and here’s a tip – for some reason, tulle dresses attract a lot of tiny bugs. This is just one of those things that happens with wedding gowns and I’m not sure why – it happened in Florida too. Little bugs are just drawn to it! If you’re a bride and this happens, don’t despair. They won’t be visible in photos and will fall out when you move to a new location or indoors – it isn’t worth it to try to pick them all out – just ignore them and they will eventually get tired of taking a ride on the dress and fly away!

They also went with a very popular color this year, shades of purple. This might be the color of 2021 the way blush pink was for 2016 or dusty blue was for 2019 and 2020.
Brandon and Juli are very active in their church and you can tell how many people they have in their corner supporting their marriage. The best man Ryan and Juli’s dad might have tied throughout the day for the most tears. You can tell everyone cares about them so much.

These two have a pup named Cooper together and spent their honeymoon in Jamaica! It was such a joy to work with them and their wonderful families.
