I’m writing this just days after Casey and Chris’s beautiful springtime wedding. It was such an honor to capture their special day – these two were dream clients! As someone who has photographed over 300 weddings, I sometimes have my own ideas of poses and inspiration I want to do, but at this wedding, I loved some of the ideas that Casey and Chris came up with!

These two got married on a drizzly and chilly day in May but we didn’t let that stop us from getting some beautiful images and in many ways, I like the diffused light of overcast days – I can shoot more quickly and not have to worry about the sun’s directional lighting. There was so much joy in the air! I love some secret photo spots I got to use like the amazing ivy wall and the azalea at the golf club that matched their wedding colors and bouquets perfectly.

Casey and Chris are organized and Casey’s dad in his speech referenced how she liked, as a kid, to have things “just so” – you all know Type A+++ brides and grooms are my jam. (We also have very relaxed couples too – I seem to get either/or and not very many people who fall in the middle!) We are very into thoroughness of coverage – comprehensive wedding photography – around here and Casey even made sure during their dance that the “dip” was facing the right way for the photography – I can’t tell you how helpful she is!

This is the first wedding back since February 2020 where we could HUG our clients and I really meant that squeeze at the end of the night. I wish we could do this wedding all over again every weekend – dream clients, good lighting, good people and a good party.
